Job Overview:

As a Bartender at O&A Line Management, you play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. Your primary responsibility is to provide attentive and personalized service, ensuring guest satisfaction and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant. As a front-line ambassador, you represent our establishment and contribute significantly to the positive reputation we strive to maintain.

The Role…

We are looking for a Bartender to support and report directly into the Bar Manager. This is a fast-moving business so we are looking for the right individual to be autonomous and be able to pick up multiple tasks and projects at once. 

Our culture is pacey but supportive, so you must be able to work in synergy with your peers and the different departments around you. Being an active communicator who is customer-centric and a collaborative team player is a must to ensure the experience provided is uniquely brilliant. 

Main Duties

 
  • Set up the mise en place for the featured cocktails 
  • Ensure the bar is stocked up 
  • Inform the manager when items run low
  • Promptly greet guests as they are seated at the bar
  • Clear bar area after guests leave, take tableware to the dish room, and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing 
  • Respond immediately and appropriately to guest requests
  • Communicate with server and host to assure efficient seating, table utilization, and guest service 
  • Thank guests as they are leaving 
  • Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness and immaculate uniform presentation
  • Be a team player; help out fellow staff whenever possible 

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced and professional environment
  • Previous experience as Bartender, lead Bartender or server/bartender in a high-volume craft cocktail forward establishment
  • Proven success of “champion of the culture,” facilitating excellent communication and engagement 
  • Team focused with an understanding of the bigger picture and how you can contribute
  • Able to effectively manage different stakeholders and be persuasive
Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
  • Fast-paced movements are required to go from one part of the restaurant to another.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 20 to 60 pounds.
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
  • Must be able to use step ladder
  • Team focused with an understanding of the bigger picture and how you can contribute
  • ServSafe Food Handlers Certification
  • Responsible Beverage Service(RBS) Training with Certification
