We are seeking a dynamic Kitchen Technician to join our team.  A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities
  1. Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times  
  2. Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow coworkers and other departments within the hotel  
  3. Ensure maintenance requests assigned to you are completed competently, with minimum disruption to hotel guests and coworkers within the assigned timeframe  
  4. Maintain, monitor, repair and conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of kitchen equipment and machinery 
  5. Assist with maintenance operations including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, electrical, ice machines, lighting, kitchen equipment, IT/switch rooms, etc.  
  6. Inspect and maintain electrical equipment such as compressors, circulation pumps, filters, outlets, thermostats and ice machines  
  7. Assist with preventative maintenance and equipment maintenance in accordance with established timeframes  
  8. Ensures that all standby units are readily available for operation  
  9. Remain updated on all projects or activity status within the department  
  10. Conduct scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance 
  11. Maintain an appropriate variety and quantity of engineering tools and supplies  
  12. Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions  
  13. Ensures cleanliness and sanitation at the workplace  
  14. Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements  
  15. Attend relevant meetings  
Core Competencies
  1. High-School diploma or GED required.  
  2. One (1) year working as an Engineer in a hotel maintenance operation or service maintenance in a similar complex preferred  
  3. Good knowledge and practical skills in electrical, mechanical maintenance, A/C systems, boilers, steam, gas, water supplies distribution and sewerage treatment plants and equipment  
  4. Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English Language  
  5. Excellent organizational skills  
  6. Excellent attention to detail  
  7. Ability to multitask  
  8. Excellent Communication Skills  
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet  
  10. Work well under pressure, requires being a team player
