About our Company
We are seeking a dynamic Banquets Houseperson (part-time) to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Responsibilities
- Greet every guest with a smile and maintain eye contact
- Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
- Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
- Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the hotel’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
- Demonstrate expert understanding and knowledge of the sequence of service, following this sequence for every guest
- Ensure all furniture in event area is clean and arranged properly
- Help set up and break down event equipment, including delivering event supplies to the space as needed
- Ensure that all public areas are neat and clean
- Replenish event supplies during event breaks as needed
- Ensure all equipment is returned to its proper area and all areas are cleaned upon conclusion of the event
- Complete prep and side work efficiently so focused attention during the event can be given fully to guest care
- Maintain cleanliness of event work area and equipment
- Attend all pre-function meetings required to ensure events flow smoothly
- Service all aspects of the event operation in accordance with all departmental and hotel standards
- Take ownership of all service issues brought to your attention by guests
- Must be able to lift, grasp, hold up to 50LBS.
- Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel
- Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested
Core Competencies
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two (2) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred
- Strong communication skills

- Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Opera PMS
